Back in June we shared about a team from Iowa coming to build Aminta a new house (you can read Part 1 and Part 2 by following these links). We have now begun the wall! Our SARF short-term team came down in October to start the crucial part of the retention wall designed to prevent Aminta’s land from washing away. She was extremely happy and blessed by our team that carried the materials down the hill, dug deep into the earth for a footer, and began putting up the 10×20 foot wall. But, there is more to do! While the most crucial part has been finished, we still need to continue the wall around the rest of her land to preserve it along with the foundation of her new house.
If you are interested in helping Aminta keep her land, click here to sign up for the January team! If you would like to be a part of this project but cannot make it down in January, you can donate here to help offset the costs of the project. As always, we encourage you to continue praying for this family and their needs, as we know that God the Ultimate Provider always meets our needs.
